Utilizing nearly three decades in teaching and coaching, I believe that a solid foundation and framework inside the classroom is the key to unlocking all students’ potential. These systems help to foster an atmosphere of mutual respect, realistic expectations, and the ability to adapt in all situations. Combining this model with the utilization of cutting-edge technology allows all students– regardless of language or cultural background– to be engaged within whatever learning modality suits them best.
My classroom is built on three core values: Respect, Reflection, and Responsibility. These principles coincide with the basis of the well-designed systems I have established. I believe that student success starts with systems that create positive and structured learning environments. By building systems that allow students to understand routines, actively engage in lessons, and take ownership of their learning, I have cultivated an atmosphere of respect and productivity. This allows me to maximize instructional time, keep students engaged and enthusiastic, and create an environment where all students, regardless of ability, can succeed.
Passionate about making learning both accessible and exciting, I am a dedicated 6th-grade math teacher who focuses on creating an engaging and dynamic learning environment. I aim to use a variety of hands-on activities, real-world connections, and interactive technology to help students build confidence in their math skills. With a focus on student-centered teaching, I adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners, ensuring that each student can access the content in a way that makes sense to them. Above all, I believe engagement is one of the keys to student success. By making math, or any subject, relevant and fun, strive to ignite curiosity, boost critical thinking, and inspire a lifelong appreciation for learning.
We are thrilled to help you navigate your journey. I’ve always known I wanted to be an educator. However, my teacher training and the start of my career are in a different era from where educators are expected to be now. Gone are the days of textbooks and a one-size-fits-all education. As an educator in the field for 17 years, I have been able to ground myself in the structure of traditional teaching while being able to propel lessons to a new, innovative level to help students engage and familiarize themselves with the skills they will need to ensure a successful future. I believe that teaching requires educators to build a foundation of compassion and a love of learning that challenges students to grow long before they leave your classroom. Let us help you do the same.
